DCS’ mission is to "be the global leader in the rigid digital thermal printing industry". Since it’s founding in 1996 DCS has grown distribution to where it sells through a number of distributors in over 30 different countries around the world. Exportation sales account for approximately 45% of total revenue.
Location
Direct Color Systems located in Berlin, Connecticut is an International OEM manufacturer and distributor of digital printers that print directly onto rigid substrates. These printers are a disruptive technology to the billion-dollar name badge, signage, labeling, awards, and decorative segments of the engraving industry as well as other industries. Beyond the engraving industry, DCS’ printers have applications also within the Photo ID card printer market.

Gene has been with the company since 1997. He came to DCS from New Hermes Corporation where he headed the technical and service division. Gene’s equipment knowledge and customer service skills bring a great deal of comfort to the distributors and customers around the world.
